Often our custom events are based loosely on one of the events in this package. Modifications are made to better suit the needs of our client. Sometimes though we start from scratch, utilizing important concepts to build an event that is 100% original.

A meeting planner contacted us recently to reinvigorate an event they had planned in Barcelona, Spain. They found working with locals in Spain very challenging, and decided having our team head over to plan and implement their event would be a better solution. We worked feverishly to pull it off, and did.
Working with a professional event planner in the United States and his client from a large US-based transportation company, the creative team at American Outback created an Apprentice-style team building event which included constructing, customizing and drag racing brand new mountain bikes, and which were later donated to a deserving local charity. A sub-theme of the event was the design and construction of a giant plexiglass 3-D logo, incorporating 3-D jigsaw pieces signed by each participant and inserted into the back of the giant logo, and which committed each participant to the future of this great organization. The completed logo is now proudly displayed at their manufacturing plant to serve as a permanent reminder of the team work, the creativity and the commitment of the event participants.
Recently we had the pleasure of working with a large Toronto-based company to plan their annual summer Fun Day at BMO Field in Toronto, featuring games, fun, food and competitions for 1300 associates.
Microsoft had a contingent coming in from the UK, and wanted a multi-day, remote, winter themed team building event. The event planning experts at American Outback Adventures built this program to achieve this. Based in the Callaghan Valley near Whistler, site of the cross-country events at the 2010 Winter Olympics, this multi-faceted event achieved its objectives and was enjoyed by all.
Based in Seattle, Washington this client wanted to experience our "Corporate Castaways" style event in a remote location. With just 2 weeks to put this challenging event together, our talented team implemented a hugely successful event on Sucia Island, a picturesque remote island in the San Juans. The Washington Mutual team flew in on floatplanes, took part in the Corporate Castaways challenges, then took an exhilarating zodiac ride to a local luxury resort for a relaxing evening together.
This event was based on a fun interactive team competition where each team was commissioned to create their very own art exhibit or exhibits within the four themes, Experience, Balance, Technology and Flexibility. At the same time as promoting these messages, the team competition enabled the accompanying PwC representatives to get to know the individual graduates and assess personal candidate qualities and capabilities.
Microsoft wanted an event that would take them from their Redmond, Washington campus all the way to the luxurious Wickanninish Inn in Tofino, BC. We custom designed a 2 day "American Outback's Amazing Chase" facilitated training event to include a professional facilitator, luxury transportation, and a variety of unique Amazing Chase checkpoints along the way.
The event empowered the group to feel the competition of one of the greatest sporting events on earth. Following the Parade of Athletes and Opening Ceremony, each Team competed head to head against another team as they rotated through 9 different challenges to become the “Solvay Regional Champions”. Challenges included but weren't limited to an "Indoor Biathlon," "Outdoor Hockey," "Team Slalom" and "Curling." Once teams finished the challenges, the Gold Medal Champions were honoured at the Closing Ceremonies.
200 of the top Porsche dealers from around the world were looking for a unique wilderness adventure near Vancouver. By combining our deluxe "Whistler Wilderness Whitewater Rafting" adventure with a delicious west coast themed meal set beside the river, a wonderful result was achieved.
A large entourage of incentive visitors from Spain wanted an interactive event that would allow the group to see “The Best of British Columbia”. This was an active group who wanted to see the sights, but also wanted to truly experience what this region is all about. We custom designed this Amazing Chase to allow teams of 4 to tour the region in motor homes over a period of 5 days, interacting with various adventures and points of interest in such areas as Tofino, Victoria, Vancouver, Whistler, the Cariboo and Okanagan.
